Olygose, a young innovative company in the field of health ingredients, founded by experienced French entrepreneurs and supported by VC Capital, has announced the recruitment of Eric Chappuis as Senior Nutrition Science Manager. He will be in charge of leveraging science and regulation to consolidate existing market positions and develop innovative concepts for the company.
Eric is a well-known figure in the field of nutrition and was previously Director of Consulting activities at Naturalpha. For ten years, he advised numerous health ingredients, functional food and supplement manufacturers as well as biotechnology companies to set up efficient scientific and regulatory strategies as well as key concepts and products linked to health improvement.
Olygose develops and produces a range of patented innovative ingredients extracted from various dietary plant- based raw materials. Its headquarters and demonstration plant are located 70 km North of Paris in the heart of the Compiègne/Venette greentech cluster since its set-up in 2009.
Its soluble proprietary prebiotic fibres have unique taste and processing characteristics and clinically proven advantages in healthy food, notably in the areas of satiety and metabolic syndrome but also in infant nutrition. Olygose’s clinical programmes are based on recent demonstrations of the role of intestinal microbiota in health and diseases, notably by the teams of Professor Karine Clément at the Institute of Cardiometabolism And Nutrition (ICAN) / Pitié Salpétrière Hospital in Paris.
